hey hey hey...

when i first opened the box i thaught, dang, they forgot to put the chassis plate in.. well as i dug deeper it showed.. didnt realize how small the chassis actually is till i saw it in person..
and very odd way of mounting the servo.. trim off the mounting ears off one side(side farthest from the sevo output), then apply double sidded tape to the bottom, and bolt it down usin just 1 side and the tape....so it turns out my servo will work after all, it save me having to trim them tabs off afterall..lol

this is the first time ive actually been ahead of the game.. usually im about 2-3 years behind..lol

almost done..

some build points..

- leave yourself some time to get the servo to fit.. took me about an hour of trial and error.. had to file a bit of material from the front suspension braket that wraps around the servo.. it acts as a brace for the servo too, so dont get to carried away..

- i can see how if you not ontop of the car after each race, or dont get the screws tight, this rear pod will make you pay..

almost done.. just gotta mount my reciever, find a spot for my transponder, and get some tires..

Looks good but I do not see your voltage booster, do you have one? I have some if you need one.

It is this one.

Two of the pins get wires soldered to them and those wires get connected  to the battery some where ( I have mine soldered to the speedo posts ). They are the usual $6.00.

Can you not just plug the esc into the voltage connector then the voltage connector into the receiver, and have the white wire go through as well?

No, the ESC needs the higher voltage to work so you need to supply it with the boosted supply.

Edit: if the ESC is made for for 1 cell then you do not need a booster.

Opps meant booster not connector. How I read how you said to wire it, was to solder the + and - of the booster to the esc's + and - then plug them both into the receiver. What I was asking is if it would work to just wire the black red and white wires from the esc onto the booster then just plug the booster in. It has all 3 wires coming out the other end so I would think that is what you are supposed to do...

If you mean plug the booster to the ESC reciever wire and then plug the boster into the reciever, that will not work. For example, a Tekin RS needs somthing like 4.0 volts  to work, that includes  making the BEC able to put out the needed voltage to run the reciever and the servo The battery voltage in a 1 cell can easly drop below that. The booster needs to be betwwen the battery supply and the reciever. The boosted voltage from the reciever will go back to the Tekin and boost the voltage to the needed 5 volts as it will with the reciever and the servo as they are all conected together  in the reciever. It works simmilar to running a reciever pack but the power comes from the booster instead of a 2nd smaller battery pack.

Hope that makes sence, Neil.

Ya, I get how they work. I just wanted to make sure that it was ok to run it all together instead of separate.

I might not be understanding what you mean "plug them both into the reciver"

Gorden

look to see how I hooked mine up No white wire on blue connector

Aravan

Using Gorden's picture as an example, I was wondering if the esc wire (highlighted with green arrow) could be plugged straight into the booster, and remove the blue plug hooked up to the + and -. This way, only 1 plug would be going into the receiver from both the booster and esc, and would be cleaner.
