who cares what your mom and teachers tell you, I find that winning (or at least beating your buddy) by cheating without getting caught, just feels that little bit more special.

for speed weekend and wcics it makes sense to follow roar, but for our own racing where its only a handful of active people who show up, why not leave it be and run what you brung. the competition wont change banning this motor. guys will still be racing the same guys they usually do.

Cheater thats a prety harsh call! I beleive the irocc policy was follow closley to roar not word for word. I dont think there has ever been any club rule that says if it isnt roar aopproved its not club approved.

Mabye im wrong its happened once or twice before. But really i guess is we are going to start labeling people cheaters for not following roar ill have to be on that list as i think my nitro motor has a few extra ports. If our club ever decides to follow roar rule for rule i think the club would shrink even more than it already seems to be.

Really if anyone is that concerned about cheaters mabye you should spend more time learning how to drive and less time reading roar rules and calling people cheaters you will find it will help you get a win alot more often.

But then again mabye winning isnt something your interested in
and if thats the case who cares if anyone or everyone is cheating

Nitro rules state "any .12 motor", so your not breaking irocc rules.

WCICS have a ROAR only rule.   Allowing non ROAR motors to run at big events will be a mistake, and will only label IROCC racers as cheaters.   Thats not a good reputatiion for a club to have.   If a IROCC racer is going to run a legal motor for WCICS, why would they not just run that motor for club racing too? All the time the cry goes out for "spec" tires, and "equal" racing, but you want racers to use whatever motor they want? Do we now allow the new Novak "outlaw" motors, which are designed purposely outside ROAR regulations, and are considerably faster then the D3.5?

As for calling everyone a "cheater", not quite.   Read the msg again, although they were "cheating" they were unwilling victims of a bad circumstance created between Trinity and ROAR.  Was it their fault. No.  Thats why I would not label them cheaters. To be a real cheater, you need to purposely go outside the rules, or knowingly run a motor that doesnt fit the rules.

As for my driving... I believe my results stand for themselves. with a LEGAL motor.

I agree with you, except if they are running Speedweekend and they have a legal motor, why not run it all the time? If a racer doesnt have a legit motor for club racing, and there is no performance advantage, then sure, turn a blind eye for an extra entry. I agree.

People need to stop getting their panties all tied up into a bunch.     This is a WCICS rules thread, and they state ROAR motors, which is why i asked Neil if the Trackstar motors were ROAR approved. It was not an attack.  Just a question.

Please let's not re-live the RCTech version of this thread here on IROCC.ca.  Back on topic, this is what I have so far:

World GT
Neil could switch to WGT 10.5 Blinky for Speed Weekend summer without too much effort/cost
Shawn would rather keep WGT as-is (13.5 Boost) for the summer, and switch in the fall

Anyone else care either way?  Again, the purpose of this thread is to get a feeling of the impact to our club members if we move WGT to 10.5 Blinky for Speed Weekend summer.  Please help me in determining that impact.

Thanks,
Blake

Blake, it doesnt really matter to me either way. I have a 10.5, was just thinking about other people who may not have a 10.5.   I prefer when ever there is going to be a change of rules, the earlier the the notice the better, as it allowes racers to plan for upgrades/changes, so they can budget for it.

Love the shirt Jody. Maybe you can give them out to the D3.5 drivers at the WCICS event.. Makes tech inspection a lot easier.   (To soon?)
