ANOTHER BIG RACE??????

I here there will be no RRR race this year, to bad was looking forward to supporting the Vancouver crew that always makes our race.. What if IROCC and RRR came together and we held the race here in Victoria in September?  I am just not happy having one big race and another 2day weekend would be a blast.  What are peoples thoughts on this and is it do able?

Yeah, while it's not a 2-day race, I know that the RRR group is planning on coming over to join us at this event.  We also invited COR to join us although I'm not sure how they would feel about that given recent posts on our website.  Here's the info on the 1:1 car show part:

Gerry, another two day race would be fun but I don't know if we have it in us right now.  I know I don't have much time or drive at the moment for something like this.  Honestly, organizing two races a year is a chore.  I would prefer to have a good turnout on Sept 15th and consider that our 2nd big race of the summer.  After that all my resources will go into trying to find a way to beat 230 entries next January.

I would hope that this would still happen. I feel that we are very lucky to have 2 awesome clubs in one city and we should try to work together to promote the hobby. I did a promo day with COR at the Gorge Canada day picnic and had a blast. I also had my on road rides on display as well and we had lots of interest and we put a smile on a lot of children's faces.

All I can say is lets make it happen.

Im confused. Why would cor or anyone be bothered by any of our forum topics? What the hell is wrong with anything said in our forum? Im pretty sure absolutely no one has picked on any clubs. Or anyone personally. If it would be over someone saying its not a good idea to attend another clubs race on a irocc scheduled race day and that if too many iroccers miss too many irocc race days for another clubs race irocc may not be around much longer, thats ridiculous. Its hard to believe that somone cant show concern for a club they have been part of for  a decade. Even if its been said historically offroad has taken away from and sometimes wiped out onroad , no body has blamed any offroad club for this !!!! Its the opposite actually.

I can only speak for myself but clearly i have attended many offroad races and have spent thousands of$$$ doing it and will still attend as many as possible just not at the expense  of irocc race days!!

Considering the effort to get cor involved and other clubs on the south island, we should consider the QA race to be the next big one. its only a one day event, but really, since we set up on saturday its a little bigger than our usual fare. everyone should attempt to be at this race. even the people who havent really been coming out, come to this one!
