OK here's an open invetation for a heated debate...

Newbie here would like to start racing 1/12 with all you fine folk.
I'm looking at buying one of two following kits.

Team Associated 12L4
OR
Calandra Racing Concepts 3.2R

I'm looking for any helpful feedback or opinions that would assist me in making a decision.
What do most of you run?
What is easiest to get parts for?
Some personal experiences with pros or cons?

Thanks in advance for all your feedback!

Cheers

the club is either 90 or 95% CRC carpet knives, literally, one or two people have other cars and that is about it.

I've tried other bits and pieces for my car thinking they would be better, etc but I usually end up wasting money.  You have to remember some of these guys have been running for 20 years.  They have a pretty good idea of how to get the most speed on the track.  The Carpet Knife is the car of choice for a reason....

If your starting out go with the crc carpet knive.  Taping is a pain to learn. I'm one of those people that run a 12l Well Sort of.  Man should have my new chassis next week. :D
ood grief I think I lost my....
. one turn at a time, but what do I have to do on the straight's again.

for a cool display option press alt+(f4)

You guys who can't tape are all so spoiled!  I've taped for years with both the 12i and 12L.  And, I'm sure some guys here have even taped with the 12e.  Other cars have other systems as well, but only real 1/12 scale racers know how to tape!

Having said that, you really can't beat the O-ring setup.

Well a BIG Thanks for all of your resposes.

Decision has been made!  I will be on the lookout for a 3.2R.

Time to make some calls to fine out who has one in stock or get my order placed.

The Shaver Shop has one in stock that now has my name on it.
The price is $274.99 for the 3.2.
I'm hoping this is in line as I know some of his/their prices are too high.

Thanks again for all your feedback!!
