I charge my LiPo's in my car unattended in the parking lot at work at 1.5 C! I told security to come get me if they see smoke.

You should charge them in the gas tank to keep the battery cool.....

To recap (since this has gotten rediculously off-topic):

Please indicate the dietary preferences of you and all of your guests in the poll on the front page of the website.  It is definately possible for you to register that way contrary to what some people have reported.  This will help give a ballpark idea of how much of each type of food should be provided.  This will be used as a guideline to prepare for our barbecue, since there are many racers who do not visit our forums or the web page.

If you are at all able or willing, or know someone who is at all able or willing to provide help for this, please indicate your intentions to Tamara, at 658-0086 or tamarayounger@dowco.com.  So far,  absolutely nobody has indicated they are willing to help out in this manner yet, which means you'd better not get your hops up too high.

Also, if you have any suggestions as to the menu other than chips, pop, and burgers, please indicate the sort of food you would like to see to Tamara above.  Since we have at least 1 vegetarian planning on showing up, it looks like this person might be eating chips and pop, since again, nobody has yet indicated they would like any other types of food.

I hope to see everyone out there!

We can BRING something but Nicola has been at the hospital for four days and with six kids I don't think we could do much more than run around controlling Chaos...

Seriously if you would like us to bring a salad, etc we can do that in the controled chaos at home but trying to lend a helping hand and watch 6 kids is a bit of a reach....

Tell us what you need (salad, desert, etc) and we'll take care of it.

ARGH!

Please coordinate those efforts through the aformentioned contacts.  This forum is far too haphazard to coordinate anything at all, especially since nobody reads anything before posting.

Mostly we need to know what people want; this isn't a pot-luck where people are required to bring food.  However, if you want to bring stuff, there's no reason to turn it down.

The idea is that the club will be providing food for this big get-together, and one of the biggest problems is figuring out what kinds of food to supply.  Most people will be happy with a burger, but some people won't.  For those pickey people who won't want a burger (and people say I'm pickey!), it would be nice to know what sort of food they would like.

As far as managing snot-nosed little bastards, that's what my wife does all day long.

Pretty soon I'm just going to give up on trying to figure out what people want, and they'll just have to live with whatever Tamara thinks they want.  It's not supposed to be this difficult!

Tom

Here's the scoop:

Tamara will purchase buns, burgers, hot-dogs, pop, chips, and condiments for the barbecue.

Rob will be supplying potato salad, and a ham and cheese pasta salad.

If anyone else wants to do anything else, feel free, but I apparently lack the orginizational skils to coordinate something as simple as a barbecue, so I give up.

If anyone else wants to do any further coordination, feel free to do it wherever, however and whenever you like.

Thanks.
