Sweet - Tacoma is a bit of a trip.  And you thought Sooke was bad....  It would be awesome to have something local!

Am I dreaming here??? 8O   Did I hear "offroad"????  Just tell me where and when......let's go vintage racing!!!!

Bye the way Tom, I never did race at the "Sizzler" but I have played on the that track under the lights.  I've played on sveral others including the likes of "Hale's R.C" (there are pics in the gallery that I took!), and even a few tracks indoor as well as outdoor down in Oregon. I've been as south as "The Ranch Pit Stop".

These names should ring a few bells for you "old schoolers".

Let's keep this post going!

hello offroaders

It's on 10 achers corner of sooke road and don't know? its supposted to be 5 mins after the four lanes.

was talking to some guys at the RC-rockcrawler meet tonight and they are pumped about a legal no-nonsence place to play and race   There is alot of people that I know are super game on getting something happening. Victoria off road will live again.

Its privite property so there will proberly be a annual fee or something to cover maintiance, track constrution, keeping the owner happy :D

We just need to know how many guys would want to help build, and maintian such a andever.

I know of problery 10

Perhaps someone would be interested in trying to retrieve the off-road clubs equipment.  We abandoned an entire off-road track setup in Duncan over a decade ago, including an awesome drivers stand, as well as all the lane dividers, wheelbarrows, rollers, rakes, and a bunch of other stuff that I seriously doubt we'll ever see again.

This could be put to good use at a new off-road track site.

my tmax is away out of date for this.  didn't get anything from the above link tho.

I could definately help out with building a track....   I wonder if my dad has a trailer for his tractor....

Do you still have your Yoke Dogfighter?

DekelzMan

The Dogfighter ? LOL, no, I had to put it down unfortunately....
and I don't have my Optima
nor my Optima Mid
nor my Shumacher....
sigh....

But there's some new stuff out I'll buy in a heartbeat if this happens :)

What are all the kids running these days?  I have a Stampede 2wd but its a MT and I don't think it would be much of a racer.  I also have an E-Maxx 4wd but its a monster truck as well.  Would a buggy or a stadium truck be more of a racer?

The new hot class is Truggy. 1/8 scale buggys with big monster truck type tires (or monster trucks slammed to race height and a race body). 2wd Electric Trucks are as popular as ever (more so than 2Wd buggies and 4wd) and 1/8th scale gas buggy is still the elite class.

peace

for the record I iwll help build a track, just let me know when.

I have an 1/8th scale truck (LST), 10th scale buggy (B3) and an 1/8th scale buggy (OFNA Violator), so lets DO IT!

WOW, I guess I started something that was put on the backburner for quite a few guys.  I'd help build the track too.  I've built and designed over 20 tracks in my time.  I really want to run 2wd stock and mod.  Maybe I'll get a 4wd or truck if the classes pan out.

As far as the old timers go.....I've been to quite a few tracks myself.....SoCal raceway is one that's still going. RCHR was one of the first but it is now gone. Lets see....the track in Florida (Tampa - Lake Park I think) that all the huge races are run on amd the Ranch Pitstop.  Some closer ones....the Hank Perry raceway in Spokane, TRCR of course, there were a couple tracks in Mt Vernon, etc, etc.

I am SO into this off road possibility.  Hopefully it doesn't go by the wayside.

Yea maybe the time has come... I asked at the begining of the year and there was little to no interest...

little to no interest because there is no place to race. If there was a dedicated RC track, we'd be there.
