Hey guys,

I am trying to remove the clutch from my old engine and put into my new one but I am unsure of how to remove it.  And maybe how to install it to the new engine also.  Please help!

Thanks

It's a NTC3 but should be the same as any other cars or engine.  The should be the same right?

not quit different cars have different clutches for yours just undo the  screw holding the clutch bell on then remove the springs holding the  shoes on then the the fly wheel nut then your done!

well im pretty sure thats the only way it will come apart!............the most difficult part is removing the clutch shoe springs..........and that isnt all that difficult

SgRddY

I was worrying that the spring would come apart if I removed the top nut.

you should definatly remove the springs before the nut

SgRddY

I can't.  I have to remove to top nut then the spring and the clutch assembly itself.  Can they be remove together as the whole assembly?

well on my ntc3 the nut wont come off untill the springs are removed as they press against the nut that holds the fly wheel on.........i cant think of any reason you couldnt take the springs off before the nut.......look at the website for associated it shows exploded veiw

The nut doug is talking about is part of the clutch assembly itself so maybe you mean the nut that holds on the endbell?

The springs come off before the "clutch nut" in every shoe clutch setup I have seen so far. they just pop-off with a little pry and then go back on in a similar but fashion.
