Anyone got an engine that needs blowing up this weekend?
« on: August 09, 2006, 04:15:26 PM »
I put an order in for a new rod for my engine and has no nitro for this weekend.  I feel the need to race nitro this weekend and just wondering if someone would be willing to lend me one.

Thanks.

Ken i saw your con rod theres a good chance that the bearings are shot as well.seeing as the con rod had a big hole in it from the crank the metal has to go somewhere

Should I just cancel my order for my connecting rod and just buy a new engine?

i would as you will most likely need new bearings and con rod and mabye a new piston & sleeve ..........you should be buying that ntc3 from mike for 450 you get an almost new nova rossi  wich is a kick ass motor and for that price its like buying motor and servos and getting the car for free and that car has been well taken care of

That's a good point, I am considering that but for that money I can almost buy a Serpent.  My question is, do I really want to NTC3 or a Serpent?  I think we all know the answer.

yep you could buy a used serpent probably not in that good of condition and with no motor or servos and then when you break somthing you wont have any spare parts................. a serpent is good yes but blake drives an ntc3 just fine ,  do what you wish but a guy with an ntc3 already that needs a motor would be very foolish to pass that deal up switching from an ntc3 to serpent is just like getting into nitro all over againspecially if you dont have a motor

I've seen some crazy deals on serpent with engine and all but I still have time to think about that NTC3.  After one more race this weekend for Mike the car will cost a little less to buy....LOL....
