A Idea for no more gens

Has any one every ask if the club could pay to have some plugs installed in the light poles at the track.

Could be a option for next year.

what do you guys think about it.

I don't think it would be free. but it never hurt to ask if it was a option

Do the light poles even run on 110v?
there would have to be locked boxes on the plugs
someone had this idea a while back i think

they would have to rip up the parking lot and run a seperate power cable to all the post were there would be plugsc


the amount of power needed to have everyone going at the same time would be just silly


think of indoors


how many times per night average do the breakers trip ?

about once

more people come to colwood to race than indoors so there would be some serious coin needed to do what you suggesting


just use a generator or even a car battery

It would be great to have power but its major grief to get it installed.  Basically they would need to have an electrician wire it up, remove the light pole, etc, etc.  Trades now adays are a licence to print money....

The no-name gen at Cdn Tire is on sale (again) this week for $350.

Ron from Parksville has one and is happy with it some far ... then again, he only has about 2 days on it!
