Hey Guyz,

Outdoor season is fast approaching and it sounds like we are going to have multiple heats of Pro10 cars right out of the gate this season :)

With that in mind, and knowing that most of the new PanCar chassis coming out are 200mm I have tried to compile a list of bodies that I think would be suitably competitive against the 235 GTP cars. After having looked around for over an hour online I would suggest that most, if not all the available bodies are available through Stormer Hobbies. Bob Stormer is a great guy and he's been championing the return of Pro10 for years now and has always tried to maintain a stock of Pro10 parts. If anyone deserves the business now that things are looking very Pro10-ish, I think it's him. I have done some Dekelz work for him in the past and he seems like a great guy. I'd like to extend an invitation to him to come to our Speed Weekend/Pro10 Nats.

Anyway, here are the bodies that I thought would be suitable, some better than others and some may work better on the various chassis out there:

If anyone is interested in putting together an order please let me know (I have no room on my Credit Cards at the moment but I do have some cash :))

Does anyone else know of any bodies, either 200 or 235mm, please add them to this thread.

Enjoy

Mick

Sorry, no credit cards here, but I too have cash. :-D

I'd be happy with either the MCA146 or the PTI920001.

Hey, Guys.

I've been chatting with Dale Epp from Protoform about this car (below) and there may be a reworked generic version as a possiblity. What do you think?

That's a cool body too Phil! Obviously a Porsche variant of some sort.
What is the likelihood of a  production run in 200mm? Is there better than a 50/50 chance?

RC51

Hey, Nick.

Good eye, Nick. It's the 200 mm Porsche 911 GT1 from back in the day but the production license has expired and it is very dear for them to have it renewed (more than most people earn in a year!). There will be a generic rework of the body to an LMP version much like they did with the Nemesis and DNA to circumvent the licensing problem.

I say yes, better than a 50/50 chance. I was speaking with Dale just briefly this morning we are due to talk again on Sunday. Believe me, I am actively following up!!!

hey phil,

that is a hot body.  it almost makes me want to spend the money on a pro10 car this year.

Shawn68z

If it comes out,  I will take two. :-)

Any progress on this phil?

It's a no-go. Looks as if they broke the mold - literally. Actually, the license expired and apparently it's quite dear to renew it. Their efforts for 200mm have been for front engine GT style. Looks as if manufacturers are telling consumers what they want!

I think these may be the first of the Chinese knockoffs of American Manufacturers:

I saw these up there before Christmas but at the time they were out of stock. The Toyota would be interesting since the 235 and 300 mm versions were quite popular. It would be interesting to see how the Toyota wings hold up. Hard to tell if they are molded to the body or a bolt-on style.

Here are some better pics of the Toyota

And the active site.

I used google translater from Japanese to English and works for this site if you want more info on each body.

Yes that Toyota would look good on my new crc gen x 10 next week.

Both Porche and Toyota look good

I've seen some discussion about the Enzo being a good body - mostly for aggressive steering but less so for rear traction.

Good thing you bring this up, I am new to the pan car which I will be picking up next week. I guess I got caught up on looks and did not think in performance. What type of body would you recommend a newbie like myself with minimal driving skills? Been doing the off road rc for the last year.

DekelzMan

I would probably recommend that Porsche over the Toyota. Looks to be a higher downforce body. The Toyota looks to have a lot of front downforce but a medium rear downforce.
