Big thanks to Gord for letting me torture test his 1/8 Truggy up in Nanaimo today!  The last time I ran offroad was in the mid-late 90's I think.  Things have definitely changed!  Air Ink's track has some BIG jumps so it took some practice before I could do a lap without landing on my lid.  We managed to qualify 3rd overall and we were running 2nd in the main until the 15 minute mark when a setscrew backed out of a CVD and left us with only three driveshafts.

Matt S scrambled to get his Truggy running for the last qualifier, but in the end, he had to start the main with little/no practice.

Gord was slicing and dicing between larger vehicles with his 10th Scale buggy (Associated B4?)  with a 27T motor.  It needed a 19T to have a better chance at clearing the big jump.

Thanks to Andrew for calling a lot of races and also for pitting some of our cars.

All in all, a very fun time.  If you are looking for an offroad fix, you'll enjoy yourself.

I certainly don't miss the dust-cloud that is the track during a race though.  Nothing like coming home and blowing brown/black goo from your nose....

Let's hope for sun in Victoria this Sunday,
Blake

Sorry I missed you guys.  Too bad it wasn't a points race, I hear the numbers were low.  Sounds like everyone had fun though, I'm sure you had a few guys a little worried when everyone showed up  :-*  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good weather this weekend.

hey,  was really fun,  even though I didn't do any racing.

I must say you guys have a really nice set up.  the guys were great.  was nice to see you guys again.    Now I know you guys don't have a loaner program.  I guess I will have to get my T4 ready to rock,  for the next time we head up island.
