Hey Mark, welcome.

It looks like you are posting from Vancouver area, do you want the phone numbers of some of your local hobby shops?  Some guys don't mind ordering parts off the internet, others just want to walk into their local store and pick up needed parts -- cause they do break eventually.

OK, turns out he is local and saw the racing this past Sunday.




Its Tuesday and thats practice/BS night at the track.  Some guys are usually there about 7pm, if you can make it.  It looks like there is no racing this coming Sunday, but otherwise stop by the track again to talk to the guys.



Oh yeah, and I have a mostly RTR Serpent 733 for sale.

I was impressed with the racing I saw on the island, so I would be more interested in a nitro for racing. I have all the radio and servo gear already as I am a rc pilot also. I would be interested in details of local clubs on the mainland, in the area of Delta/Richmond. I know of the RC Pitstop in Langley, who I believe stock a good range of cars. Otherwise, I am not apposed to buying online, provided I can get some solid advise from you guys.

I would also like to know approximately what the startup cost will be to get out racing?

Start up cost it pretty well all upto what u want to spend.. Like bruce, I have put my nitro car up for sale in the buy/sell part of the forum.. Complete just add radio system, for 550$.. But if you wanna buy all new gear you could be up as high as 15-2000..


Not sure if your plane radio will work that well for a car..
