Traction compound

What traction compound is everybody using? is there rules to which you can use and can't use?

The club orders Jack The Gripper and I think it was $10 a tin last year. This is used as it has no smell compaired to others.

Just a curious question - how much of a difference does it make? Traction compound vs. none? Are we talking about a 1/4 second per lap? Or is the difference much more obvious?

It makes a great deal of difference. Probably greater than 1-2 sec/lap, which would translate to more than 5 laps over an 8 min. race. Now that's talking about the top drivers.
