I find the handling of my 1/12 scale a bit strange, and am wondering if this is normal or not. At low speeds or on the straights it seems quite twitchy and too responsive. Through the fast sweepers it seems more normal. I assume it is just massive under steer when the car is at speed. Is this just something that I'll get used to with more track time? It makes it very hard to guess how much steering input to give. Next time I'm out I'll get some of you pro's to give it a few laps for your opinion.

That said, it is a pretty easy car to drive. I'm amazed these cars aren't spinning out all over the track. (And that I haven't broken a dozen parts with the amount of abuse I've given it.)

check the toe on your car.. more toe-out will make it more responsive/twichy..  more toe-in will tend to settle it down..

also..check your rear droop(if you lift the car from ride height, does the rear axle assembly fall before the shock bottoms out and catches it?) if you have rear droop, try shortening the shock length, by screwing on the ball cups farther onto the shock ends until you have little-no droop..

more droop= more weight transfer= more steering off throttle.

Let's take a look at your front springs, and your dual rate setup tomorrow.  Those impact your steering experience quite a bit.

Could be due to tire sauce application as well.

Thanks for the comments guys. Definitely gives me some things to try next time I'm out. I missed racing on the 24th, and will have to miss next Saturday too.

I with the manual of these things covered some of these adjustments and the effect they have - it would help get us new guys started.
