Hi,
I could use some help. I'm checking out the center pivot on my CRC Generation XL, and don't understand the manual. Here's a link:
http://www.teamcrc.com/crc/downloads/manuals/3202_complete_manual.pdf
On page 1, step 4, it says to not tighten down the locknuts that fasten the center pivot to the main plate - you adjust them later. I can't see in the manual where they adjust them, or what the intent was. If I want to ensure the rear plate gets raised up, how should I accomplish this? Any thoughts?

Plus if anyone has a plastic stand off that holds the tweak plate, I could use one.

Thanks,
Colin

not sure how to explain this but i encountered why you would adjust this with my 10r5.. the side links are a fixed length, but the center pivot has a little bit of wiggle to it. if the pivot gets tweaked in a hard crash, it can put compression on one side link and extension on another when you try to twist the rear pod. feels like pressure then spring when you twist the pod. to fix it, you loosen the locknuts so the ball can wiggle a little bit, then put the chassis on something flat, retighten the nuts and it should twist freely.

in the case of my wgt, i had to push the pod in toward the chassis to get rid of this.

maybe somthing has a better explanation.

obviously, important that your rear pod is level with the bottom of the chassis. if it hangs low, you might have to shim the pivot block. ive had to do that for whatever reason.

Hi Colin Just go to page two and read (setting the one piece links) and it tells you why and how.
