Anyone else have a D3.5 17.5 they are hoping to use at Speed Weekend?  I'm trying to get a sense of the impact to our club members if we disallow the motor for Speed Weekend summer.

So far just John and Gord would be affected....  Anyone else?

Thanks,
Blake

Hehe, I figured you would Gord.  My *bet* is that there aren't too many people in the club stuck with ONLY a D3.5 17.5 motor.  But this thread is designed to figure that out with certainty.

I got one.. Think it's my only 17.5

If its an issue for you, I have two Novaks you can borrow.  High RPM spec, and High Torque.

Hey all,

The Trinity D3.5 17.5 motor will be legal for IROCC's regular club races this summer.  It will NOT be legal for Speed Weekend.

Reason it's legal for club racing
Our club races are not won by tenths of seconds.  If you think you're at a disadvantage because a D3.5 17.5 out qualified you, show me your lap printout and I'll suggest other reasons that you qualified where you qualified.

Reason it's NOT legal for Speed Weekend
We attract many racers from other clubs to Speed Weekend.  Most "nearby" clubs have disallowed the D3.5 17.5 based on ROAR's ruling.  To follow the standard of other nearby clubs is very important when trying to attract out-of-towners to our race.

If you need to borrow a legal 17.5 for Speed Weekend then just ask around - it won't be hard to find one.

QuoteHey all,

The BIG question for me is what to do with WorldGT for Speed Weekend this summer?  How many people that are planning to run WorldGT this summer do NOT have a 10.5 motor?

Thanks in advance for the info,
Blake

What about this will it be 13.5 or 10.5?

Hey Gord,

Good question; we'll be discussing this at Track Cleanup day on Sunday.  I'll post the final answer after that.

For *club* racing, you are more than welcome to run Boosted-13.5 OR Blinky-10.5 in WGT.

Looks like Pro10 is coming back on RCtech again.. (And what was old is new again).   Speedpassion is coming out with a new "LMP" 235mm car.   And acouple of new bodies have been released in Europe.
