Direct power to a brushless motor??

Can someone tell me if i can power a brushless motor directly from a 7.4 v batt without cooking it?
I was thinking about trying a couple in my nitro starter box if possible.

Wont work. You need an ESC to switch the power from each phase of the stator.

The "Brushless Motor Driver" takes regular DC and then drives out the right pulses to run a brushless motor.
