Timezone Grand Prix 2013 Road Trip

Hi all,

The 2013 Timezone Grand Prix is Nov 15-17 2013 in La Center WA. I plan on taking my van to the race as usual, and I know Craig and JohnB are interested as well. It sounds like they are going to get a great turnout this year, and they are doing a bump-up from B->A this year which they haven't done in the past.

Anyway, if you are interested in coming along, let me know. We can fit up to five people in my van.

Entry fees are like $50 + $30 for two classes, and hotels are about $55/night for a room with two beds. We would leave on the Coho ferry on Thursday (Nov 14) afternoon at 4PM (3PM checkin).

Not me, I show up for club races not just road trips. Thinking about Penticton on the long weekend?

It was fun.. I'll go. Cant make Pentiction due to un-avoidable obligations.... But I can definitely make this event..

I hear ya Daryl. I too try to make most club races as well as some road trips.

I would like to make the trip to Pentictan for their wcics race maybe even the kamloops one if the first goes well. I haven't been on a road trip in so long it seems.

It would be great if some of the IROCC crew supported the Penticton event! I talked with Anthony and Amber (Penticton club Execs) in Edmonton and they seemed like great people. Unfortunately for me, I have a work course thing on the Thursday/Friday of that week, so it doesn't really work for me this year. If some of us hit up TZ and some of us hit up Penticton, we could do double promotion for our race which would be great.

Also, Kamloops is on my radar. It's early March, so there's lot of time to plan that one.

Sorry Blake, missed this part of the post. I totally forgot we left on the Thursday. Unfortunately I have a "mandatory" work function that Thursday night. So, I talked it over with the wife last night (about driving down myself on the Friday), and I have decided not to go. Its just not worth the extra cost of driving my truck down, I am re-directing the money I put aside for this trip to a new nitro motor and transponder! Sucks missing the race, really enjoyed it last year.

So my new plans are to head North on the Friday night and go racing with NRC. My truck holds 4 guys pretty comfy, if anyone else is interested in going up that way, your more then welcome. Cameron will probably be going too.

No problem Shawn.

It sounds like the Penticton WCICS over the Remembrance Day weekend may be the choice of most road tripping IROCCers anyway. This is a great option since we've never supported them for a trophy race.
