Tech Team for Speed Weekend CE 2014

Hey all,

We need many of us to pitch in over the weekend for various duties.  Here is the tech team:

Nanaimo 5


There will be close to 30 races per round.  This means each person must cover only two races per round.  Rounds will be roughly 4hrs long.

If we do tech the same as last year we will have 2 at the table at all times. So I am running 3 classes witch means 3 races, 3 corners, 3 waiting to be teched and line up for race, and 4 on the tech table.

That is 13 out of about 30 races witch very doable and should leave enough time to work on my cars.

This will only work if everyone does there share and we do not have to look for people to do there part on the table like we had to do last year.

Also remember you need to be in tech the race before yours. So can't sign up for one within three races of yours.

Hey all,


I didn't realize we had two people at the table last year... that's some great service!

Keep in mind that our heats will be very full (8-10 cars) and therefore we will have extra marshals for almost every race.  So, it will not be a problem for Tech personnel to miss some marshaling when needed (upon approval by the race announcer of course).

Also, John Galbraith may come out and help us with Tech over the weekend.  He won't be racing, so he can help spell people off.

A well run tech table can make or break a racer's experience at an event.  Our tech has kicked a$$ the last couple of years and I'd like to keep the trend going.  As Neil said, people must be responsible for their duty and we can't be chasing you down.

Big thanks to everyone that donated their time at the tech table. We received alot of compliments all weekend long on the professionalism, and effiency of the tech inspection table.
