I know its a bit early but just thinking about what i am doing this winter. Do we have a new place to run and on what day of the week? Also what classes?

If I run this year I need some new gear. But not spending any money tell I know what is happening.

there has been some talk of possible venues, but its victoria, and its hard to find one that we can afford lol. unless we want to charge everyone $50/night of racing. but believe me, blake, rob, craig ect are all working hard to get us a suitable venue.
you can expect 12th scale 13.5 blinky. we MIGHT run touring cars depending on interest and our success with the kits we've sold. wgt.... basically, you neil and rob for that. we haven't run any wgt aside from speed weekend.
so unless you sold your stuff, just sit on what you got.

Hey all,

We'll definitely be running - even if it's at a highschool gym for $50/hr.  I am working on some options and I hope to have more info soon.

Classes will be 12th Scale 13.5 Blinky as per usual, plus hopefully both WorldGT 10.5 Blinky and Touring Stock 17.5 Blinky if the venue/time allows.

Out of curiousity, if we had these two timeslots to choose from, which would you choose?
A) Saturday nights from 5PM-10PM
B) Sunday mornings from 9AM-2PM

BCbud

Saturday night would depend on location and distance needed to travel as I work on Saturday, but Sunday would work.

For me Sunday afternoon is better. But i would really prefer a one class weeknight .

Shawn68z

Sunday mornings would work out well, but I am going to show up no matter what time/day is chosen.

I think the bigger issue is this whole business of club/spec motors is a more pressing issue and should be discussed soon.

Cheers,
Shawn.

If racing costs are gonna go up with venue cost, I say don't touch what's not broken... there was a lot of good racing last year.

Hey all,

This is an interesting idea from Dan.  This is what they do at one of the Seattle tracks - Wednesday night.  Just out of curiousity, *IF* we had a facility that worked, who likes the idea of club racing on a weeknight?  It would likely be something like this:  Doors open at 5PM, Q1 at 7PM, Q2 at 8PM, Mains at 9PM.  We'd likely only have time for two rounds of qualifying and then mains with this format....

Benefits are that your weekends are completely free, but drawbacks are less racing, and you won't see your family that day if you work 9-5.
