The club transponders that are provided, as a convenience, for those racers that do not have their own. It is the responsibility of those members that are using them to return them to the charging rack after each heat race they are used. At the end of the race night all transponders MUST be returned to the rack.
As of the end of the night on Dec. 20, there were 7 club transponders in the rack. By the beginning of the night of Dec.27, there were only 4 and at the end of the night, only 3.
At a cost of $150US/transponder, the privilege of using these transponders will soon be rescinded unless habits change. Some of the new members have spent a lot of money on equipment so far this year, maybe some of that money would have been better spent on purchasing a personal transponder.

Time to hold onto some collateral.  Keep the transponders in the hobby shop, and people can leave their CC with Blake until the transponder is returned.

Shawn.

Only prob with that, they have to go back in the rack between races to charge, usually a few people have to share the same transponder,  and they might change transponder # for the mains.

Also, for those using them, after every race, you must remove them from your car, and return them to the rack to charge

Just don't lend them out anymore. Transponders should be a standard piece of equipment you need in order to race like a motor, transmitter or tires.

Maybe it needs to be policed a littler tighter. Use a sign in and sign out sheet, and keep the rack in the store like Shawn said. Of course the problem with this is it would be one more thing to hold us up between rounds.

A deposit system would be best for those who want to use these. $20 deposit that will be returned on receipt of transponder. Easy peasy.

Rent-to-own.   $10 a week, and at the end of the 10 weeks, you get your own!

Now that is a purely golden idea.
