New Carpet Warm Up Race Dates

Hey guys,

I've talked with Blake about hosting a small-ish "new carpet warm up" race in September, but would like to get the local feedback about the idea before I start pushing it.

For classes I am thinking of simply keeping it simple with 13.5 & Mod 12th Scale and 17.5 & Mod Sedan.

Format would be qualifiers on Saturday and either a last chance qualifier Sunday morning with triple/double mains, or just triple mains.  I would do the last chance qualifier if we found some people were coming over from the mainland just Sunday.

We are down to two possible weekends - Sept 10/11 or Sept 17/18.

So, are you interested?  And which weekend would work best?

So far I am leaning toward the 10/11th.

It should also be noted that all proceeds would go directly to IROCC to help with current and upcoming club expenses.

Oh, and I would have nothing to do with planning this race - aside from providing the venue.  If the race goes forward, Luke will be the promoter and will be coordinating with IROCC staff to make it happen.

I have been talking with a bunch of other people, including some from the USA and it is seeming like the 17/18 is the better of the two weekends, contrary to how it looks in this thread.

Is there anyone who absolutely cannot make the 17/18?
